Graduate Key Performance Indicator Survey
The Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development (M.A.E.S.D.), previously known as the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities (M.T.C.U.), utilizes Key Performance Indicator (K.P.I.) surveys to gauge the achievement of high-quality education and how it correlates to positive employment outcomes for students in both public and private colleges.
In compliance with fulfilling the requirements of the Private Career Colleges Act of 2005, the Superintendent of Private Career Colleges released a policy directive outlining five P.C.C. K.P.I.s:
- Graduation Rate
- Graduate Employment Rate
- Graduate Employment Rate in Field of Study
- Graduate Satisfaction Rate
- Employer Satisfaction Rate
Quarterly audited data provided by P.C.C.s throughout the year are utilized to determine the graduation rate. The remaining four key performance indicators (K.P.I.) are derived through the analysis of data collected from questionnaires filled out by both graduates and employers. Furthermore, the ministry computes O.S.A.P. (Ontario Student Assistance Program) loan default rates for P.C.C.s that have been granted approval to enroll O.S.A.P.-eligible students. These rates are also regarded as an industry performance indicator.
